LocationOn-site – Suffern, NYApply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Job TypeContract / HourlyPosition OverviewBorn to Play operates a high-volume 3D printing facility utilizing Bambu Lab printers and primarily PLA and PETG materials. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on 3D Printer Technician to ensure maximum equipment uptime to ensure an efficient daily production schedule.In this role, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and carry out routine and preventive maintenance across a large fleet of printers. This position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys working directly with tools, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping a production environment running efficiently and reliably.Key Responsibilities Printer Maintenance & RepairRespond to printers flagged for pause, repair, or maintenancePerform routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtimeReplace worn or failed components (nozzles, extruders, belts, sensors, etc.)Install approved hardware upgrades and system improvementsReturn printers to service quickly and consistentlyApply standardized fixes to recurring maintenance issues across the fleet Production Equipment SupportAssist with basic maintenance of packaging equipment or other auxiliary machineryMaintain clean, organized, safe, and functional repair and maintenance areas Tools, Parts & InventoryManage and maintain tools, spare parts, and replacement componentsTrack part usage and report low inventory or upcoming needsEnsure tools and equipment remain properly maintained and ready for useQualifications RequiredStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skillsComfort working with tools and electromechanical systemsAbility to follow documented xhyhwjd processes and learn new equipment quicklyReliable, organized, and detail-orientedAbility to work independently in a fast-paced production environmentAbility to work on-site in Suffern, NYPreferredExperience with Bambu Lab 3D printers (strong plus)Background in maintaining production equipment or machineryFamiliarity with common 3D printing maintenance practicesExperience in manufacturing, automation, or technical maintenance environmentsSpanish speaking is a plusCompensationHourly, contract-based roleSalary range: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
