Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing advanced computed tomography procedures, producing detailed sectional and 3D images to assist radiologists in diagnosis and intervention. This role ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, and coordination of patient care throughout the diagnostic process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex CT procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols.
  
  
• Review and document patient clinical history, ensuring accuracy in PACS and EPIC systems.
  
  
• Prepare patients for scans, including contrast administration, shielding, and immobilization.
  
  
• Monitor patient during procedures for adverse reactions and provide emergency response if needed.
  
  
• Verify prescriptions, insurance authorizations, and communicate with physicians for clarification or protocol adjustments.
  
  
• Maintain accurate documentation, including radiographs, reports, and exam copies, and manage outside study integration.
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
  
  
• Certified as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))) and licensed with NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography.
  
  
• Achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire.
  
  
• possess BLS certification from the American Heart Association within three months of employment.
  
  
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, radiological positioning, and CT software/hardware.
  
  
• Maintain CEU credits to stay current in the field.
