Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a day-shift outpatient clinic assignment, open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting focused on orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Treats conditions such as joint replacements, spinal conditions, sports injuries, and post-op rehabilitation
• Utilizes modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• TX PT license required (pending license accepted); license required if applicable
• Experience with adaptive devices, gait training, and therapeutic exercise techniques
• Strong documentation skills including evaluations, plans of care, and discharge summaries
• Proficiency with assistive equipment such as walkers, crutches, and wheelchairs

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program development
• Provides patient and family education on safety and injury prevention
• Open to first-time travelers, though an interview is required before offer
• Not open to candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start
