The ideal candidate will have previous security experience in a hotel environment, strong communication skills, and a professional presence.Candidates with prior concierge, guest services, front desk, or luxury hospitality experience are highly preferred, but luxury hotel experience is not required.The Hotel Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, visitors, employees, and property while providing a welcoming and professional level of service.Schedule:Flexible availability requiredSwing ShiftWeekendsHolidaysPart-timeAdditional/on-call availability may be required based on hotel needsShifts:Day: 6am to 230pmSwing: 2pm to 1030pmGrave: 10pm to 630amResponsibilities:Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for hotel guests, employees, and visitorsPatrol hotel guest areas, entrances, parking areas, hallways, common areas, and other assigned locationsMonitor hotel property and respond promptly to security concerns, incidents, and emergenciesEnforce hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations in a professional and courteous mannerProvide professional guest assistance while maintaining appropriate security proceduresRespond to guest concerns and security-related requestsMonitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, unauthorized access, and security concernsAssist with emergency situations and coordinate with law enforcement, fire department, medical personnel, and other emergency responders when necessaryConduct regular security checks and maintain awareness of activity throughout the propertyComplete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentationMonitor access points and assist with controlling unauthorized entry when necessaryHandle sensitive guest and hotel information with professionalism and discretionAssist hotel management and staff with security-related mattersMaintain a professional appearance and demonstrate excellent customer service at all timesQualifications:Previous experience working as a Security Officer in a hotel is requiredValid BSIS Guard Card requiredValid Driver's License requiredHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious hotel, hospitality, guest services, or concierge experience strongly preferredPrevious luxury hotel or upscale hospitality experience is preferred but not requiredStrong customer service and communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to interact respectfully with hotel guests, VIPs, employees, and managementAbility to remain calm and professional during emergencies or difficult situationsStrong observation and report-writing skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a hotel teamFlexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and swing shiftsPreferred Certifications:Pepper Spray CertificationBaton PermitHandcuff CertificationWhat We're Looking For:The ideal candidate understands that hotel concierge security is about more than simply protecting property. You will be expected to provide a high level of professionalism and customer service while maintaining a secure environment.Candidates with a background in hotel security and concierge or guest services are especially encouraged to apply.
