TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Virginia!

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry – Virginia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Central Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week available, 13-week assignment. Every other weekend required, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Patient ratio 1:4 on a 12-bed unit.

Highlights:

• 12-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Diverse case mix including respiratory illnesses, renal failure, diabetes, sepsis, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis
• Epic EMR system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Up to 40 hours of approved time off available (cannot be taken around Christmas)
• Advanced nursing skills including insulin drips, heparin protocols, chest tube management, and wound care

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or pending (must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratio of 1:5 or similar
• BLS certification required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills including telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin and heparin protocols, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, PCA pumps, and chest tube management
• Ability to adhere to facility float policy (travelers float before full-time staff)
• BSN preferred
