Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, intensive medical end-of-life care to hospice patients in a short-term inpatient setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments and apply critical thinking for symptom management across a broad range of diagnoses
• Educate patients and family caregivers on goals of care and build caregiver confidence in supporting their loved ones
• Provide holistic support encompassing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of care
• Fulfill an on-call requirement of approximately 2 shifts per month
• Complete a 3-day orientation (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) prior to transitioning to the night shift schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work night shifts with an on-call commitment of approximately 2 shifts per month
• Availability to attend a 3-day daytime orientation prior to starting the night shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life nursing
• Experience with symptom management across multiple disease processes
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient and family education in high-stress clinical environments
