Senior Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $168,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, inventory, fixed assets, and other core accounting functions. Lead month end and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Review journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules to maintain the integrity of financial records. Coordinate audit support activities and prepare required documentation for compliance and reporting purposes. Partner with internal departments to improve processes, support reporting needs, and drive operational efficiency. Requirements A Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting practices, and internal control frameworks. Previous experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support occasional extended work hours. Qualifications A professional accounting certification. Prior experience in technology, manufacturing, government contracting, or similarly complex business environments. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Prior experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives. Knowledge of revenue recognition, lease accounting, multi entity structures, and other advanced accounting.
