Upper Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a Christ-centered Upper Elementary Teacher (4th/5th Grade) who is called to be part of our Guardian Academy team and is skilled in helping students grow in academic excellence built upon a biblical worldview. Job Responsibilities Teach students about a wide range of subjects including math, science, social studies, language arts, and more. Identify and help students with difficulties in reading, writing, and Follow, develop, and modify the curriculum to most effectively help students to understand subjects and introduce new learning techniques. Keep lesson plans up to date within Model, demonstrate, and teach Christian character traits to Develop additional materials to help keep learning fun and interesting such as competitions, group discussions, and quizzes. Assist with student drop-off, pick-up, and lunch-hour Refer and adhere to all guidelines, policies, and procedures outlined in our current teacher Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the education field A Current Ohio Teaching License, or a Permanent Non-Tax Certification One Year of Teaching Experience All Guardian Academy Staff Members will be asked to comply with both BCI and FBI background checks. Excellent communication with students, parents, teachers, and staff Excellent organizational skills Flexible in fulfilling needs of Guardian Academy when needed (i.e., covering another class if able) and adaptive to last-minute changes Demonstrate the ability to receive and apply constructive criticism.
