Finance and Operations ManagerWe're looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to be the operational backbone of Themis. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the center of how we run the business — from managing day-to-day financial operations and supporting the CEO's external-facing commitments, to driving AI adoption across internal processes.The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in spreadsheets and in board decks. They are detail-oriented yet strategic, resourceful, and bring a builder's mindset to every process they touch. This role will work directly with the CEO and have high visibility across the entire organization.Financial Analysis & OperationsBuild and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-makingTrack budgets and key financial metrics; surface insights and flag issues proactivelyOwn core financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and address reconciliation issues with the Accounting and Invoicing vendorsCEO & Executive SupportPrepare materials and manage the submission process for investment requests on behalf of the CEODraft, compile, and maintain Investor updatesSupport the CEO in ad hoc financial and operational analyses needed for external meetings, partnerships, and strategic initiativesOwn relevant follow-through on action items and deliverables stemming from Board/ Investor interactionsSend out product marketing emails to all customersAI OperationalizationIdentify and lead high-leverage opportunities to automate or streamline internal workflows using AI across functions like finance, operations, HR, Customer SuccessBuild, document, and roll out AI-powered processes that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the companyServe as an internal champion for AI literacyCommunications & Content OperationsSupport production of the company newsletter, including content coordination, drafting, scheduling, and distributionMaintain internal documentation, SOPs, and process guides for finance and operations workflowsAssist with cross-functional communications that require financial or operational contextOperational ExcellenceIdentify and eliminate operational inefficiencies across the companyBuild scalable systems and processes that grow with the businessOwn special projects and cross-functional initiatives as the company evolvesMaintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across financial systemsRequired Qualifications4–5 years of experience in finance, operations, or a related business function, ideally at a startup or high-growth companyStrong financial acumen — comfortable with P&L, cash flow, budgeting, and financial reportingExperience preparing executive-level materials such as board decks, investor updates, or financial summariesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelinesHigh proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and financial modelingStrong written communication skills — able to translate complex information into clear, compelling materialsSelf-starter with strong organizational instincts and exceptional attention to detailPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting a CEO or C-suite executive in a high-paced environmentFamiliarity with investment request processes, grant applications, or venture financing documentationExperience in fintech, financial services, or a B2B SaaS companyWorking knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, Zapier) and a track record of applying them to business problemsExperience with accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Ramp, Brex, Gusto) and modern SaaS operations stacksWhat Makes Someone Successful in This RoleOwnership Without Being Asked You don't wait to be told.
