We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week - Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!As a Fraud Operations Associate, you will be working with some of the industry's brightest minds to manage the operations aspects of fraud. Specifically, you will manage daily workflows related to transaction fraud, first-party fraud, and account takeovers and work towards improving the business's ability to scale and make risk-based and customer-focused decisions. In this role, you will be the company expert in fraud operations and have the autonomy to drive down losses and improve internal efficiencies. You will also be critical in containing fraud losses and improving operational efficiencies by contributing to the evolution of our AI tools, thus ensuring Brex scales safely and sustainably. As Brex scales, the pressure of fraud increases as well.ResponsibilitiesOwn and work associate level queues that are assigned to the Fraud Operations teamDevelop and implement scalable operational processes for fraud managementMake risk-based, subjective decisions on high-value/risk transactions and account offboardingsAchieve company-level goals around financial fraud lossesRespond to cross-functional partners on escalations related to fraud in a diligent way that balances risk and provides customer loveParticipating and helping in streamlining fraud operational workflows around transaction review and account investigationsAbility to take ownership of Fraud Incident handling and be able to conduct the root cause analysis and close inefficiency gapsAbility to own and ship projects that are on Fraud Ops roadmap with full autonomyAble to use AI tools to elevate and enhance queues and projectsPartner with Policy, Data Science, and Engineering to improve tooling to scale internal operations for fraud.Requirements3+ years of experience in a fraud, risk or related operations role1+ year of experience leading projects or workstreams end to endDemonstrated ability to use data to investigate issues, spot trends, and support decisionsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including with cross-functional partnersExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesAbility to collaborate and work with a team on projects and process improvements.Bonus PointsFamiliarity with SQL or other data query toolsPeople management or team lead experienceExperience using AI tools to improve operational workflowsExperience in fintech, payments, or banking industriesThe expected salary range for this role is $86,784-$108,480 USD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
