Staff Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

JOB DETAILS Department: Cath Lab FTE: 0.7 (56 hours per pay period) Number of shifts per pay period: Shift(s): Days Shift Length: 8 hours Call: per unit policy Note: You may be trained to support echo, rehab, device, and EKG teams. Sign-On Bonus: $5000* *Sign on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). RESPONSIBILITIES Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: - Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health - Preventing illness and injury - Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response - Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others - Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care Minimum Qualifications 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience within the last 3 years ACLS Certification Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and be able to stand for long periods of time and assist with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota Preferred Qualifications Certification in area of clinical specialty BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
