House Supervisor

The RN supervisor serves as a resource for problem-solving. Provides clinical expertise to the staff. Facilitates staff mentoring and coaching. Facilitates patient flow during off shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Cares for residents with diagnoses such as dementia, diabetes, cerebrovascular accidents, cardiac issues, and orthopedic conditions. Responsible for overseeing a facility with an average daily census of 180 beds. Manages the following special units: - Neurobehavioral unit with residents diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's who exhibit violent behaviors. - Rehabilitation unit for residents recovering from orthopedic surgeries and cardiac procedures. - Secure dementia unit for residents at risk for elopement. - Long-term care unit for residents requiring extended assistance. - Further long-term care unit for additional residents. Utilizes special equipment, including wound vacs, PICC lines, nephrostomy tubes, tube feeds, and catheter management. Engages in various skill sets, including code management, de-escalation techniques, and emergency preparedness. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards set by relevant authorities. Participates in incident reporting and risk management processes. Promotes workplace safety and oversees new admissions. Responsible for managing staffing and productivity standards. Implements coaching and counseling to align with performance standards. Acts as a clinical expert resource within the organization.
