Ophthalmic Photographer

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment. Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the eye care provider, assists with performing patient care. Under the direction and supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area. Provides education to students, residents and staff; assists in orienting and mentoring staff. Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges. Manages patient care and assists with patient flow. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Qualifications Certified Retinal Angiographer High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Equivalent vocational training will be considered. Required Licensure/Certification Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) within two years of hire. IV certification within 6 months of hire (tracked by the unit). 1 year of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience or vocational training. Preferred: 3 years of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
