We work for our clients, and we work for one another.Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and successfully completing multiple electrical engineering projects with minimal direction and supervision. As a Sr. Engineer, you will be expected to successfully lead medium and large design projects with the assistance of a team of engineers and designers. This position receives general administrative direction from the Electrical Division Manager and technical support and training from the Chief Engineer. Leading multiple mid-size and large design projects. Directing other engineers and designers for preparation of drawings and reports. Managing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects. Functioning as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various projects and teams. Collaborating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders. Researching applicable codes and industry standards. Interpreting codes and collaborating with other design professionals as needed. Preparing engineering analysis and reports, including conditions assessment. Overseeing development of preliminary and detailed engineering designs. Creating engineering specifications Performing design quality control, monitoring progress, and notifying managers of scope changes. You’ll be a perfect fit if you have: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university within Electrical Engineering or other applicable field of study. Master’s Degree is a plus. Professional Engineer licensure is preferred. Minimum of eight (8) years of electrical design experience, with a strong focus on industrial, infrastructure, or large commercial projects. Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineers and designers for creation of drawings and performing engineering calculations. Experience in specifying, designing systems for industrial, power, oil & gas, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, mission critical, food & beverage facilities with significant expertise in at least one of the core industries served by TAI Working knowledge of and ability to specify Electrical Component (switchgear, switchboards, transformers, etc.) and Field Devices (combination starters, VFD’s, etc.) Experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lighting plans, and power location plans, Experience with generator sizing software. Experience performing arch flash, short circuit, coordination, power factor, and/or harmonic analysis. Ability to professionally interact with customers to gather critical information. Manage design of all levels of complexity including other electrical resources. Manage existing customer relationships. Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive work attitude, and willingness to learn new skills. Preferred Qualifications:SKM, Easypower, or ETAP Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Revit Forma (ACC) Masterspec Compensation and Benefits:Pay: $120,000-175,000 annually (depending upon experience).
