Senior JIRA Administrator
Apex Informatics
We have an opening for a senior JIRA Admin for their Owings Mills, MD location. I filled this role a little over a year ago with this manager and we'll have a call with him Monday to get exact skillset needs but JD below should be pretty close to what is needed. Candidates need to be able to work hybrid schedule starting day 1 no exceptions. The interview process will be two steps . It'll be a 6 month contract w/extensions. Position- Sr, Jira AdministratorLocation- Owings Mills MD
Duration- 6 Months
Responsibilities
• Support ongoing migration effort of Jira Server to Atlassian Cloud
• Automating manual platform management processes through scripting or programming
• Coordinating enterprise-wide outreach and reporting efforts as part of platform governance responsibilities
• Supporting and troubleshooting Jira Server running on windows server and Atlassian Cloud products
• Evaluate the use and integration of third-party add-ons
• Coordinating and collaboration with users of the platform
• Develop training and documentation materials as needed
Experience (General)
• Familiar with Agile and Kanban development frameworks and project management
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues
• Able to demonstrate experience supporting technical users and conduct requirements analysis
• Can work independently with minimal guidance & oversight
• Experience with IT Service Management and familiarity Incident & Problem management
Required Technical Expertise
• 3 years' experience managing and configuring Atlassian products (Jira Software, Jira Service Manager, Jira Automation) on-premises and cloud based
• Experience with Atlassian Market place add-ons such as Zephyr Automated Test Suite and ScriptRunner
• Demonstrated proficiency with scripting and automation (bash, python, other programming languages)
Preferred Technical Experience
• Experience automating manual tasks
• Experience with Agile processes and other tools in the space (Rally, Trello)
• Experience with identity management, SSO, and license management
• Experience supporting custom and third-party software integrations into a SaaS platform via API
• Experience with large platform migration efforts
