Strategic Client Engagement & Solutions Lead

  • Identifying and developing opportunities from the base business
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities collaboratively with other leaders in our business
  • Champion transformative or multi-disciplinary projects, that involve combinations of VDN’s service lines
  • Lead and advise others internally, based on your experience, that are engaged in sales activities with our clients.
  • Work closely with clients and be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end success of all projects and the team’s performance
  • Develop tailor-made solutions and work closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Identify and engage with potential customers to understand their needs and requirements
  • Work with our technical experts and consult with clients, demonstrating how the services will provide the value they need
  • Conduct presentations to showcase the value of our expertise
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and trust
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers, ensuring win-win outcomes for both parties
  • Prepare and submit proposals, quotes, and bids in response to customer inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline
  • Provide post-sales support to customers, helping to address any technical inquiries or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Provide sales forecasts and regular performance reports to management.
  • Stay updated with advancements in technology and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate VDN exhibits at select trade shows.
  • Up to 50% travel at time to meet clients, attend trade shows, or participate in industry events
Requirements Preferred qualifications include an Engineering or Business Bachelor’s degree, and/or relevant equivalent experience Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of highly relevant experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Prior sales experience in technical consulting is preferred Prior experience in machinery and equipment packaging is preferred The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with exceptional networking skills and creative abilities to tackle sales challenges As an organized and disciplined sales professional, strong attention to detail is essential The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Outstanding problem-solving skills are a must A strong technical aptitude, combined with the ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities Expertise in energy industries as well as solid functional knowledge including but not limited to strategy, business development, energy, supply chain, project management, marketing and sales Previously supported clients across the Americas region Experience working for a consultancy organization and managing multiple technical delivery teams, focused on revenue and profit growth Commercially astute, a savvy negotiator and mediator Ability to take initiative, break new ground, create opportunities for others Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization ATS Optimization Keywords Below are skills and terms extracted directly from this job posting to improve Applicant Tracking System (ATS) visibility.
