Job Opening at North Terrace School

The Personnel Commission announces an open and promotional recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. There is currently one position open at North Terrace School. This is a 6 hour/day, 10 month position. Under general supervision, to perform routine tasks in the preparation, cooking, serving, and distribution of a variety of foods in quantity. To collect money, make change, run cash register and/or operate a computer terminal, and perform record keeping functions.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this classification would typically be acquired through graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate; one year of experience in the cooking, preparing, and serving of food in large quantities; or any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
