Special Agent – Internal Affairs Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation – Sacramento County, California. Overview The Special Agent works under the direction of a Senior Special Agent and may be assigned to a regional office, Central Intake Unit, Forensic Analysis and Support Team, or Special Investigations Unit. Duties include conducting internal affairs investigations and allegation inquiries, managing caseloads for efficiency, completeness, and timeliness, assisting the Senior Special Agent with employee misconduct matters, interpreting and enforcing policies, and completing special projects. Responsibilities Conduct internal affairs investigations and allegation inquiries. Manage and monitor a caseload, ensuring efficiency, timeliness, and completeness. Assist the Senior Special Agent with employee misconduct matters. Interpret and enforce internal policies and procedures. Complete special assignments and projects as directed. Special Requirements Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) – provide number, class, expiration, endorsements or restrictions. Successful drug screening prior to hire. Background investigation clearance prior to hire. Medical clearance prior to hire. Psychological evaluation clearance prior to hire. Desirable Qualifications At least two (2) years of experience in a specialized unit.
