About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President - Workers' Compensation Wholesale Broker for the Western Region. This is a pivotal role within a growing wholesale brokerage platform that is dedicated to supporting independent retail agents and agencies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in navigating complex risks, fostering enduring agency relationships, and driving production in a high-performing wholesale brokerage environment. Unlike traditional wholesale broker roles, this position demands a professional who can think like both an underwriter and a producer, with the ability to assess Workers' Compensation exposures and strategically place risks for optimal outcomes. The role is not just about managing a book; it's about building and expanding within the retail insurance community. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Workers' Compensation, wholesale brokerage, or commercial insurance, and hold an active Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Surplus Lines license. Professional designations such as CPCU or CISR are valued. The company is looking for a proactive individual who communicates effectively, thinks independently, and takes ownership of their results. The role requires a disciplined approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistency in order to build long-term production. The candidate should be prepared to grow their own book of business and deepen relationships, with the support of a platform that offers strong carrier relationships and broad market access.
