Temporary Staff Accountant (JN -082026-427711) Towson, Maryland Salary: USD70000 - USD80000 per year Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounts payable, and general accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial transactions, maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and assisting with month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and payments, including ACH, EFT, and wire transfers. Prepare annual 1099 reporting and related reconciliations. Monitor and respond to finance-related inquiries. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations. Support month-end close activities and journal entry preparation. Provide support during annual audits and compliance reviews. Cross-train with accounting team members and assist with finance process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Associate’s degree with relevant accounting experience will also be considered. Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a professional environment. Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting systems preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
