Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Credentials as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience working in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments, manage chronic health conditions, and administer medications or treatments as prescribed
• Respond promptly to student injuries or acute illnesses
• Develop care plans and coordinate with teachers, counselors, and parents
• Maintain thorough medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
• Provide health education to students and staff on topics like hygiene, nutrition, and illness prevention
• Participate in compliance and safety drills as required by school policy
