About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to spearhead its enterprise sales, development, partner, channel, alliance, customer success, and field engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for go-to-market strategy, planning, execution, and will play a pivotal role in driving the company's mission to be a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems in the global enterprise and technology markets. This role demands a leader with a strong background in high-growth, recurring revenue, and global technology firms, and a deep understanding of the enterprise software and infrastructure markets. The Chief Revenue Officer will be accountable for all aspects of the revenue organization, including direct enterprise sales, alliances, channels, partnerships, sector go-to-market, field engineering, and customer success. Applicants for the Chief Revenue Officer position at the company should have a university degree, preferably in CS or STEM, with additional business disciplines or degrees. The role requires a candidate with progressive operational and leadership experience, and a proven track record of leading a sales, partnership, or field engineering organization to success. Insight into open-source history, dynamics, strategy, and competition is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the impact of open source in the world and will be expected to demonstrate and cultivate this passion within the organization. The role is not just about sales; it is about astute planning, tactical operations, and leadership that is both operational and inspirational. The Chief Revenue Officer will be a key player in the company's growth, with a focus on sustainable, efficient, and low-cost delivery of open-source software to the global market.
