This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and efficient coordination of patient care. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for front office operations including patient scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, registration, and communication with referring providers. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. This position is based primarily in our St. Augustine office, with occasional coverage and support in our Jacksonville location. Patient Experience & Front Office Coordination Welcome patients and provide a positive, professional first impression Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and questions Schedule consultations, procedures, ultrasounds, and follow-up appointments Confirm appointments and maintain provider schedules Coordinate patient transportation when needed Collect and update patient demographics, insurance information, and required forms Ensure patient charts are prepared and complete prior to appointments Insurance & Administrative Support Verify insurance benefits and eligibility Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required Communicate with insurance companies regarding coverage and approvals Assist with claim follow-up, denials, and appeals as needed Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR and practice management systems Scan and upload records, reports, and outside documentation Provider & Referral Coordination Communicate with referring physician offices and facilities Obtain medical records, imaging, and laboratory results Coordinate pre-procedure requirements and patient instructions Ensure continuity of care between patients, providers, and referral sources Qualifications Minimum 2 years of medical office experience preferred Experience with insurance verification and authorizations strongly preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with computers, EMRs, Microsoft Office, and general office software Reliable transportation and willingness to travel occasionally between St. Augustine and Jacksonville What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Health benefits Paid time off and paid holidays Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding specialty medical practice #J-18808-Ljbffr Minimally Invasive Vascular
