Field Service Engineering

Field Service Engineers play a key role in delivering field service support and managing customer relationships, handling installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualification. They provide hands-on technical support and work closely with customers to ensure equipment performance, efficiency, and a positive customer experience. This is a remote role based in Maryland/DC region and will require up to 75% travel within the designated territory. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided. Carry out installation, preventative maintenance, repair support, and training of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry product in a professional, reliable, and customer-orientated manner Responsibility for meeting customer SLA and internal KPI objectives Ensure customer satisfaction in all aspects of services provided Share experience and standard approach of product services and applications with colleagues. Assist the Commercial Team with technical information, training, and demonstrations Accurately document field service activities, including installation report and service work report, and submit timely through the required system Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, engineering, physics, or equivalent and 5+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing LC/MS instruments or Advanced degree with relevant experience Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues down to component level

• Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment preferred
• Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports
• Ability to effectively train and support customers with equipment operation
• Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software
• This role requires regular access to government customer sites. The successful candidate must be able to meet applicable customer and site-specific identification, screening, and security access requirements.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $40.06–$50.48. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
