As a Field Service Engineer III, you'll provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for sophisticated laboratory automation equipment (Robotic movers and Microplate handling) and dynamic scheduler software. Working with advanced technology, you'll deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, universities, and industrial facilities. You'll resolve complex issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure optimal system performance. This is a remote role based in Maryland region and will require up to 75% travel within the designated territory including VA, NJ, and PA. Relocation assistance is not provided. Education Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or advanced degree in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline, with an appropriate combination of education and relevant technical experience (7+ years with an Associate’s, 5+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 3+ years with an advanced degree) Complete and maintain all company-required technical training and certifications required Demonstrated expertise to independently troubleshoot low-voltage electronics and complex electro-mechanical systems Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities across hardware, software, and networking issues Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings Previous experience training or mentoring others preferred Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to build positive customer relationships Availability to respond to urgent customer needs Proficient with Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business software Professional working proficiency in English; additional languages beneficial Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in laboratory environments Valid driver's license and ability to travel 75% The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $40.06–$48.07. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
