Senior Accountant

- Direct path to become the Accounting Manager
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and statutory requirements as needed.
- Participate in system improvements, automation efforts, and process optimization initiatives.
- Support leadership with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Logistics industry experience required
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Strong business communication and analytic skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
