Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at Mercy Council Bluffs Psych Associates Clinic, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Expectations Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. We are offering a $4,800 Sign-on Bonus and $8,000 Education Assistance (loan forgiveness) to new hires that meet eligibility requirements. Job Requirements Required Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA) Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Where You'll Work CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health.
