California Licensed Staff Counsel

Managing a caseload from inception to resolution, the full-time California Licensed Staff Counsel will independently represent clients in court, handle pre-trial discovery, and draft legal documents while working remotely, except for in-person trial appearances as needed. Key responsibilities Independently represent the Insured in court, presenting witnesses and evidence on litigated claims Analyze complex legal issues and develop defense strategies through extensive legal research Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies Required qualifications California State licensed attorney Knowledge of state laws and local court policies and procedures Strong legal research and writing skills 4-15 years of relevant practice group litigation experience
