As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst , you will play a critical role in supporting the operation and management of major programs of the Asylum Division office by leading teams of analysts to assess and enhance complex management and program processes and systems.

• Lead a team of subordinate analysts within the Asylum Division offices on a broad portfolio in the areas of performance,
  resource management, business operations, scheduling and utilization and programmatic technological enhancements.
• Serve as a consultant on broad projects and programs with potentially national impact.
• Determine the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive orders and DHS directives, and other
  organizational agency/decisions on respective headquarters and field office operations.
• Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus
  on long and short range plans.

Residency Requirement : There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas.

Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/28/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/28/2026.

GS-13 : You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the majority of the following duties:

• Conducting qualitative or quantitative assessments of program effectiveness or compliance;
• Reviewing processes and programs to determine the impact on operations;
• Providing reports and briefings to senior management on program support functions;
• Overseeing or training staff members on program support areas.
