Matec builds complex ultrasonic testing systems used by major aerospace and industrial manufacturers. This isn’t repetitive service work. Every system is different. Every problem requires real thinking. You’ll be the person customers rely on when things get technical. What You’ll Do: Troubleshoot and fix complex electro-mechanical systems (remote + on-site) Travel (30–50%) across the U.S. and internationally Commission multi-axis motion systems Diagnose issues with motors, motion control, and instrumentation Repair, modify, and install equipment in real-world environments What You Bring: 3–5 years in manufacturing, field service, or machine building Strong hands‑on troubleshooting skills Experience with motors, motion control, robotics, or automation Comfortable working directly with customers Engineering degree preferred (or solid hands‑on background) Excited to travel both nationally and internationally (25%) The Upside: Work on high‑end, custom‑built systems—not repetitive equipment Autonomy in the field + real technical challenges Strong team, flexible environment, and solid benefits Exposure to global customers and industries If you’re looking to get off the bench and into a role where your skills actually matter—this is it.
