Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates. Essential Duties Import Review and submit shipping documents for customs clearance. Monitor clearance status with CBP, FDA, USDA, etc. Notify customers of delays or holds. Coordinate pick-up/delivery schedules. Inspect and re-pack cargo if needed. Manage warehouse/cold storage inventory. Process invoices and billing. Communicate with customers and overseas/domestic agents. Provide rate quotes. Export Book cargo space with airlines per customer needs. Prepare AWBs and documents per IATA rules. Manage schedules and meet airline cut-off times. Track shipments and update customers/agents. Process invoices and billing. Check export and destination regulations. Ensure compliance with TSA requirements. Provide rate quotes. Working Hours, Working style 9:00~18:00 Working Location Los Angeles, CA Salary/Benefit $19-22/hr (Non Exempt) Holidays Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays Qualifications Bilingual in Japanese and English General knowledge in logistics, import/export regulations is a big plus. Aggressiveness toward learning, absorb and apply new knowledge. Establish healthy relationship with customers, venders and co-workers. Negotiation skill – Being able to protect customer’s best interest. Flexibility – Being able to think ‘outside the box’. Provide solutions according to circumstances. Time Management. Calculation skill – Basic arithmetic skill to perform conversions, rate calculations and such. Communication skill – Timely responses.
