Call Your Mother is the Jew-ish deli where Boca meets Brooklyn, grandma-level hospitality meets seriously good bagel sandwiches, and hard work meets face-melting vibes.

Husband-and-wife team Andrew and Chef Dani built Call Your Mother around one simple idea: people deserve incredible food made by people who give an F. From our first farmers market stand in 2018, to shops across the DMV, Colorado, Chicago, and Philadelphia, we've grown by obsessing over the details and blasting the music and laughing along the way. No two production shifts are exactly alike, but you might:

• Mix, shape, proof, bake, and finish bagels, pastries, and seasonal baked goods.
• Prepare spreads, sauces, dressings, proteins, and other house-made ingredients following recipes and production schedules.
• Prep, portion, package, label, and store products for delivery to our shops.
• Monitor product quality to ensure everything leaving the commissary meets CYM standards.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and production areas clean, organized, and food safe.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health department standards every step of the way.
• Communicate inventory shortages, equipment issues, waste, or quality concerns to leadership.
• Learn new production stations and continuously build your skills.
• Support teammates, help train new hires, and pitch in wherever the team needs you most.

Variety is the spice of life, and we hire folks with a crazy wide range of backgrounds! You'll do well if you have at least one year of experience in food production, baking, prep cooking, or another fast-paced kitchen environment. If you can safely wield a knife, follow recipes, stay organized, and take pride in producing consistently great food, we'll teach you the rest.The right attitude and a strong baseline > a polished resume.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands for this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, and communicating effectively; standing, walking, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive physical movements; lifting up to 50 pounds; and safely operating equipment and tools using manual dexterity. This role also requires working in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures, and occasionally working in confined spaces. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.
