The nurse will care for patients with specific needs related to surgery and recovery. Key responsibilities include monitoring post-operative patients, managing drains, and providing wound care. Nurses will be involved in the care of patients with tracheostomies and total laryngectomies. Experience with tube feeding and IV access is required. The nurse will be responsible for performing phlebotomy and central line management. The nurse will work within a team to provide comprehensive care to adult patients. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet facility needs. Compliance with all regulatory and facility standards is expected. Important skills include effective communication and adherence to best practice protocols. The position requires a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
