Job Summary As Local Event Staff at Water Lantern Festival, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring our events run smoothly by tackling a variety of tasks and supporting on‑site operations. Expect long, rewarding days filled with hands‑on work, from setup to teardown, with the chance to grow through training and potentially step into the Event Coordinator role. Key Responsibilities Assist with setup, execution, and teardown of event activities, including lantern distribution, guest check‑in, and site preparation. Help manage and direct local staff and volunteers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Provide friendly, professional assistance to attendees, answering questions and resolving minor issues to enhance their experience. Support the Event Coordinator with inventory checks, equipment handling, and other operational needs. Work closely with the core team to maintain a positive, organized environment and ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly. Engage in training sessions to learn event management skills, with the potential to advance to the Event Coordinator role. Qualifications Age: Must be 18 years or older. Experience: Prior experience in event support, customer service, or team coordination preferred but not required. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Basic problem‑solving and organizational abilities. Availability: Complete availability on event weekends. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
