A hospital-based pharmacist role is available in Whittier, CA, focusing on inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy and oncology services. This position requires expertise in preparing IV chemotherapy medications within a large health system setting, serving a diverse patient population. You will contribute to critical oncology care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense chemotherapy and oncology medications for inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality control measures.
- Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information relevant to oncology treatments.
- Assist in inventory management and medication reconciliation specific to chemotherapy agents.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
- Proven ability to prepare IV chemotherapy safely and accurately.
- Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with health system workflows and electronic health records preferred.
Schedule:
- 4 shifts of 10 hours per week.
