This opportunity is for a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician position based in Gardena, CA, offering an engaging environment in a licensed 173-bed facility with an average daily census of 140. The role operates on a unique 5-on, 5-off schedule with 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a balanced work-life rhythm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Prepare intravenous (IV) medications, including IV piggybacks (IVPB) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
• Deliver medications promptly to nursing units
• Respond to telephone inquiries with professionalism and clarity
• Utilize the Order Entry System, with training in Allscripts/Paragon essential
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards within the pharmacy

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required
• Skilled in preparing IVs and managing automated dispensing systems like Pyxis
• Familiarity with Allscripts and Paragon order entry systems is highly preferred
• Ability to operate independently during night shifts and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Duration and Location:

• Contract length is approximately 8 to 13 weeks
• The position is located in Gardena, CA, and involves travel requirements
