Radiologic Technologist Full Time

In & Out Urgent Care is expanding and seeks a Radiologic Technologist. The role requires working at least 5 shifts per month including 12‑hour weekday shifts and 8‑hour weekend shifts. The technologist will work at multiple urgent care locations as needed. Job Duties Prepare patients for X‑ray, explain procedures, position patients and obtain high‑quality diagnostic images. Develop, mark, and file X‑ray images and reports; burn images to disk when needed. Practice ALARA principles to limit patient and team exposure, adjusting equipment controls and determining appropriate kVp and mAs. Observe patients and machines during procedure, report unusual occurrences, and document patient condition. Prepare charts for appointments, enter procedures and information into the electronic medical record. Clean and disinfect X‑ray room and equipment; maintain and order DME supplies. Perform routine X‑ray exams and X‑ray quality assurance tests; maintain quality assurance records. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an accredited radiology technology program. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (preferred). Knowledge of specific and OSHA requirements regarding radiological procedures. At least six months of X‑ray experience and familiarity with routine medical procedures. Ability to read and write medical terminology accurately. Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when appropriate. Availability for 12 shifts during the week and 8‑hour weekend shifts, including holiday hours; rotating weekends; willing to work at other locations. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records. Typing speed of 60 words per minute with 96% accuracy. Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Licenses & Certifications Current certification and/or state licensure in radiology technology in Louisiana (required).
