Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Quality Technician – 1st Shift. Hours: 5:00am – 1:30pm. Full‑time schedule of 40hours per week with potential overtime. Hourly rate: $27.04 per hour (general guideline; final pay depends on skills, experience, and qualifications). Full benefits and 401(k) plan provided from day one of employment. What you’ll do Perform part and product inspections, document results, and quarantine non‑conforming (NC) parts. Determine root cause of non‑conforming parts. Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) for all production lines. Conduct control and process audits as scheduled. Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Create quality alerts and notify operators of quality issues. Investigate non‑conforming products and use problem‑solving techniques to resolve issues. Contribute to pre‑production quality planning, including developing quality assembly documents; attend product and process reviews, and provide technical training to production personnel. Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines. Support Gage Calibration System. Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies. Qualifications Required (Basic) High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Legal authorization to work in the United States; no company sponsorship required. Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the location (active‑duty military service members exempt). Preferred Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or related field. ASQ Quality Technician certification. 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the power industry. Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience. Statistical Process Control knowledge. Understanding of delta‑wye three‑phase transformer and resistive load bank technology. Skills Physical ability to sit, stand, walk regularly. Capable of lifting up to 40pounds. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push, and/or pull as needed.
