THE POSITION Are you looking for a career opportunity that will allow you to expand upon your human resource knowledge and skills? If so, consider joining the HR Office Employee Relations and Workforce Support Division for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Department of Agriculture (AG), and Milk Board (MB) Human Resources Office as a Human Resource Assistant 1. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing a variety of technical and clerical support for the office to ensure efficient operations. As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will be providing administrative support to the Employee Relations and Workforce Support Division. You will attend labor management meetings, meet & discuss sessions, pre-disciplinary conferences (PDC), and other meetings to take notes for employee relations analysts and prepare official notes for use in grievance or other appeal responses. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and preparing correspondence such as PDC/fact finding notifications, discipline letters, complaint responses
- Performing research to assist analysts in preparing materials for grievance hearings, PDCs, labor/management meetings, meet & discuss sessions, and other presentations or meetings
- Serving as the office Right-to-Know Law (RTKL) contact
- Working closely with the analysts to obtain data for the RTKL Coordinator and/or Employment Law counsel
- Performing data entry and logging employee relations actions in electronic tracking systems

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch, may be negotiable.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
