Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in pitching and execution of M&A and Strategic Advisory engagements.
• Support the Senior Managing Director in day‑to‑day management of Associates and Analysts to ensure appropriate allocation of junior resources and priority of high‑impact projects.
• Lead the evolution and development of the team’s modeling and analytical capabilities with limited supervision.
• Create high‑impact pitch materials and oversee the execution process, including financial modeling, writing CIM and other client materials, and regular contact with clients and qualified buyers.
• Engage independently with key constituencies throughout M&A or Strategic Advisory assignments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct day‑to‑day supervision of IB Associates and Analysts, provide timely performance feedback, develop employees to their fullest potential, plan for bench strength and succession, and recognize employee accomplishments.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required

• 7–10 years of experience in M&A Investment Banking.
• Strong corporate finance and credit skills.
• Proven track record of originating and closing complex financial transactions.
• Proven ability to pitch, win, and execute M&A engagements.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside the organization.
• Expertise in one or more industries.
• BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics (MBA strongly preferred).
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required.

Compensation

The base salary reflects the range for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Salaries vary by role, skill set, experience, education, and geography. The position is eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
