The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life by providing direct care, guidance, and skill-building support within residential and community-based settings. They assist individuals with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goal attainment while ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Residential Counselors serve as strong advocates for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships. Other Key Responsibilities Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service and support plans and play an active role in their implementation. Provide support with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goal achievement. Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed. Implement activities that promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and the development of valued social roles. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served. Review, complete, and maintain all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required. Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
