As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide skilled, individualized care to adults in a supportive, community-based setting.

Setting: Outpatient Pediatrics, School Based

Schedule: Part-time or full-time opportunities available 

License Requirement: Active PTA license

Your Role in Action

This is a dynamic, relationship-driven role where you’ll spend your day working closely with adult participants in both individual and small group settings. You’ll play a key role in helping clients maintain mobility, prevent decline, and stay as independent as possible.

In this role, you will:

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising PT , focusing on strength, balance, endurance, mobility, balance, developmental milestones.

• Lead or assist with functional movement activities such as sit-to-stand transfers, gait training, and balance exercises

• Support participants in maintaining safe mobility and independence during daily activities within the center

• Monitor and assist with adaptive equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, orthotics) to ensure safety and proper use

• Engage participants in motivating, functional exercises that promote participation and enjoyment

• Observe and report changes in function, safety, or medical status to the supervising PT and care team

• Complete electronic documentation in a timely and compliant manner
