Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a hospital setting. Support patient recovery through assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients' health status and document findings accurately within the Meditech system.
Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments following hospital protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Maintain compliance with unit policies, guidelines, and safety standards.
Float to appropriate units as needed to ensure consistent patient coverage.

Qualifications:

Hold an active RN license in Tennessee or relevant state.
Possess a minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Showcase advanced skills in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment.
Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech or similar documentation systems.
Ability to work 13-week temporary assignments with weekend rotation.
Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
