Join our nursing staff and make a difference at Washington County Correctional Facility. We currently have fantastic opportunities for experienced LPNs to support our Department of Corrections unit—a role where compassionate care and professional growth go hand in hand. Job Duties Include:

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals
• Ensure safety in the coordination and delivery of care
• Communicate effectively with patients, the healthcare team, corrections staff
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient status, initiating and updating care plans
• Health screening, intakes, and triage of patients
• Maintain detailed and accurate written & electronic patient records (using Insync)Uphold standards for infection control, patient dignity, and confidentiality
• Medication administration and monitoring

Education & Requirements:

For LPN Candidates:

• Valid New York State LPN license and registration
• Prior correctional or acute care experience preferred but not required
• Must demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills

Work Schedule & Staffing Model:

Our facilities operate with full coverage from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days/week. We are hiring for the following structured positions:

FT Evening LPN (2p-10p shift)

PT Evening LPN (2p-10p shift)

Per diem Float LPN (varies-primarily evenings, weekends)

Please note:

• Work hours will vary; flexibility is essential
• Holiday, weekend, and on-call commitments vary by role and scheduling needs
• You  must be available to work every other weekend
• Background checks and additional credentials may be required
