Yard Spotter - Newport News, VA

$25.50/Hour 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

We're hiring an experienced Yard Spotter to join a busy logistics operation in Newport News. If you have experience moving trailers in a fast-paced yard environment and can safely back trailers into tight dock areas, we want to hear from you.

✅ Move and spot trailers throughout the yard

✅ Back trailers into assigned dock doors safely and accurately

✅ Reposition loaded and empty containers as needed

✅ Assist with loading and unloading operations

✅ Communicate with warehouse and dock personnel to keep freight moving

✅ Follow all safety procedures and yard traffic rules

✔ Minimum 2 years of Yard Spotter experience

✔ Strong trailer backing skills in tight spaces

✔ Experience working in active warehouse, logistics, or distribution yards

✔ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

✔ Forklift experience is a plus

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Some weekend hours may be required based on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.
