Title
Intermediate/Stepdown RN - Neuro

Schedule
12-hour days (06:45-19:15)
Shift options: 36- and 48-hour rotations

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13-26 weeks accepted

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent RN experience required
- Neuro Stepdown / PCU / IMC / Telemetry experience required
- Travel experience required; unit will NOT accept first-time travelers
- Licensure: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- EPIC charting experience
- Skills: Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy including blood product administration and central/PICC/peripheral line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Specific neuro skills: post-op neurosurgery care, lumbar drains, seizure management, and intracranial bleed care

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for neurological sub-specialty and medical intermediate patients
- Monitor and manage patient vitals and neurological statuses
- Administer medications and titrate IV drips as per protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Compliance / Notes
- Weekend requirement: minimum 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs and additional RTO can result in cancellation/DNR - call-off policy strongly enforced
- Orientation: 32 hours (includes 8-hour computer class + two unit shifts after hospital orientation)
- Pre-start modules required; completed pre-start (non-billable)
