Compounding Pharmacy Technician

The Compounding Technician is responsible for lab functions that may include formula and compounding record preparation, and compounding and labeling a variety of non-sterile compounded medications. All duties are performed efficiently and accurately under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Compounding Lab Technician demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the Pharmacy and goals of Organization.

• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
• Follow all policies and procedures
• Strong comprehension of USP 795
• Have a strong working knowledge of pharmacy software.
• Enter new compounds into dispensing pharmacy software
• Prioritize and prepare formula and compound records
• Compound medications accurately and efficiently
• File necessary paperwork
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
• Pull outdated medications for destruction
• Maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: Perform inventories and ordering, assist in finding, stopping, expediting specific orders, project work

***Must be comfortable standing at a lab bench the entirety of the day. Will be required to wear gloves, hairnet & N95 mask for duration of shift except for breaks and while on lunch.

Job Qualification/Requirements:

• Previous Lab experience or Pharmacy Compounding Technician experience
• OR Degree in Sciences

This job is fulltime Monday-Friday onsite, day shift in Madison, WI. Great for pharmacy technicians with previous compounding experience, or new grads who are looking to gain experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
