Location: HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast Address: 4000 Spencer Hwy Pasadena, TX 77504 Floor: 1st Building: Main Hospital

General Information:

• Number of Beds - 10
• Number of Staff – 51 in all OR; 7 FAs total
• Type of staff:
• Day Shift – 1 OR Admin Director, 1 OR Director, 5 OR RN CNCs, 12 RNs, 15 CSTs, 7 FAs, 6 OR aides, 1 PCT, 3 anesthesia techs
• Night Shift – N/A
• Patient Ratios – N/A
• Type of equipment – Da Vinci Xi Robot (x2), Velys Robot
• EMR – Meditech
• Business hours:
• Monday thru Friday 0700-1900.
• After 1900 urgent/emergent cases only
• Weekend staffing is covered by on-call team

Skill Set:

• Most recruited for:
• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• BLS
• Meditech experience
• Proficient circulating general surgery, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, gyn and vascular experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Labor and delivery (i.e. vaginal deliveries, c-section, etc.)
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Vascular procedures
• AV fistula
• Femoral popliteal artery bypass

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Laparoscopic/Open/Robotic general cases (appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repair, abdominal procedures)
• Spinal and craniotomy procedures and VNS stimulators
• Venus access procedures (AV Grafts, AV fistulas, FEM/POP bypass)
• Urology (Cystoscopy's, stent placement, laser procedures, lithotripsy, TURBT, TURPT)
• Plastic Procedures
• Orthopedics (Hips, shoulders, knees, various approaches)
• OB

Best personality fit:

CERTIFICATIONS:

• CST
• BLS
• ACLS
• CSFA

Floating Area(s): May support main OR if no vascular and/or heart cases booked; this would include general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, robotics

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color/Attire - hunter green

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• First case start is 0700. Staff are expected arrive and be ready for work at 0630.
