About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending State License accepted Certifications: One of the following required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Trauma Level I experience Description: Shifts are Monday through Friday from 15:00 to 23:30. No call required. First-time travelers will be considered if they have Trauma Level I experience and at least 2 years of experience. Weekend coverage is required. National certifications CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA are necessary. BLS certification is not required. Experience with SPD instrument tracking systems like CensisCensiTrac is required. Experience with Belimed washers/sterilizers is preferred. No on-call requirement is in effect. Floating within the facility and scope of care is required. Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities if needed. Block scheduling is not available. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Attendance is monitored closely with strict guidelines on tardiness and absences. The use of earbuds and cell phones during shifts is prohibited. Travelers must have facial hair compliant with fit testing requirements or be willing to shave. Certifications are not required at the time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing.
