About the Opportunity:
A prestigious global law firm is seeking an International Tax Associate to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who are passionate about international tax law and are looking to work on sophisticated cross-border matters for multinational clients. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a highly regarded international tax team while handling complex legal research, drafting, and litigation-related matters in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Associates will work closely with experienced partners and clients on a wide range of international tax issues, providing practical legal advice and supporting high-profile matters involving cross-border transactions and disputes.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research on complex international tax issues and related areas of law
• Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other client-facing documents
• Prepare and review summary judgment briefs, court filings, and other litigation documents
• Analyze and prepare witness depositions for litigation matters
• Support attorneys in contested hearings and trials through detailed legal research and analysis
• Advise multinational clients on international tax matters and cross-border legal issues
• Collaborate with attorneys across global offices to deliver strategic legal solutions
Qualifications:
✔ J.D., LL.M., or foreign equivalent required
✔ Minimum 1 year of experience with an international law firm or as a judicial law clerk
✔ Experience preparing or reviewing summary judgment briefs and other litigation-related filings
✔ Experience preparing or analyzing witness depositions
✔ Strong legal research experience involving complex and technical areas of law for court proceedings
✔ Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
✔ Active admission and good standing with the New York Bar required

Compensation: $310,000–$390,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and market factors), plus bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
